Welcome to the eConsultants Website (“the Site”) eConsultants Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”, “eConsultants”), trading as econsultants.co.nz, provides the services contained in this site to you under these terms and conditions. Each time you access this internet site (“Site”), you confirm that you have read and understood the terms and conditions. We may amend these terms and conditions from time to time in our sole discretion and we recommend that you check them on a regular basis.
By accessing this Site you are indicating your agreement to be bound by all of these terms and conditions, including any amendments made to them from time to time
Unless stated otherwise, the content on this website – including reports, articles, text, images, graphics, and logos – is protected by intellectual property laws.
1. Cross Border Consultant Listings: Geographic Scope and Eligibility
The Site is designed exclusively for professional consultants based in New Zealand and Australia. By registering, you confirm that you operate your consulting business within one of these countries.
eConsultants Ltd reserves the right to verify your location and eligibility at any time. You may be required to provide documentation to confirm your geographic eligibility. Failure to provide accurate information or meet eligibility criteria may result in suspension or termination of your account in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
2. Compliance with Local Laws
Consultants are solely responsible for ensuring their profiles, advertising content, and business activities comply with all applicable laws and regulations in their respective country, including but not limited to:
- Advertising standards and consumer protection laws
- Tax and business registration requirements
- Data privacy and protection regulations
3. Taxation
If you subscribe from Australia or New Zealand, you agree to comply with any applicable tax laws, including the collection and remittance of Goods and Services Tax (GST) or other taxes where required.
eConsultants Ltd facilitates subscription payments via Stripe but is not responsible for any tax liabilities incurred by consultants.
4. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Providing truthful, accurate, and up to date information in your profile.
- Ensuring all testimonials and endorsements you submit comply with applicable advertising and consumer laws.
- Keeping your contact details current and correct.
You must not disassemble, reverse engineer, modify, alter, tamper or circumvent any part of the Site. You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use or copying of the whole or part of the Site by any person.
5. Intellectual Property
eConsultants images and logos referenced in this Site and the contents of this Site are subject to intellectual property rights belonging to us. Other product and business names mentioned herein may be the intellectual property of the respective owners.
Any rights not expressly granted herein are reserved. You agree not to breach any trade mark, copyright, patent, design or other rights in relation to all trade marks, information, images, logos and other intellectual property included in this Site. No logo, graphic, sound or image from this Site may be copied or retransmitted unless expressly permitted in writing by us.
You agree not to download, copy, transmit, “data-mine”, “scrape” or otherwise replicate any of the information on this Site, including ratings and comments, for any business purpose, whether by electronic or any other means whatsoever.
6. Content Approval and Moderation
eConsultants Ltd reserves the right to:
- Decline, edit, or request changes to any content submitted for profiles or customer comments, including bios, titles, images, credentials, or testimonials.
- Send you an email to your current listed email on our files letting you know your content has been declined allowing you to contact us to adjust and resubmit for approval.
- Remove any content deemed offensive, misleading, promotional beyond platform standards, or otherwise inappropriate.
This is to maintain professionalism, clarity, and trustworthiness across the Site.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
- Subscriptions are billed on an annual , quarterly or monthly basis unless otherwise specified.
- Payments are processed securely via Stripe.
- Subscriptions may auto renew unless cancelled prior to the renewal date. You will receive notifications before renewal.
- You are responsible for applicable taxes (e.g., GST) related to your subscription.
- We may review the subscription fee annually
8. Refund Policy
- A refund is available if you cancel a subscription within 5 days of purchasing a subscription (5 day cooling off period). We will charge a $50 + GST administration fee, the adminstration fee will be deducted from the refund.
- No refunds will be provided following the 5 day cool off period.
- No partial refunds or prorated refunds are given for cancellations mid subscription.
- You may cancel your subscription in writing at any time and your profile will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle, after which clause 8 will apply.
9. Cancellation and Data Deletion
Upon cancellation or subscription expiration:
- Your profile and all associated data (bio, testimonials, contact details) will be permanently deleted at the end of the current billing cycle unless you have requested earlier deletion of data.
- eConsultants Ltd does not retain any data post cancellation.
10. Account Sharing
Each user account on econsultants.co.nz is intended for use by a single individual only. You must not share your account login details with any other person, nor allow others to access the platform using your credentials. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to any account that is found to be shared or misused. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information and for all activity that occurs under your account.
11. AI Generated Content Disclaimer

While eConsultants Ltd may provide AI assisted content creation tools, consultants are fully responsible for reviewing, approving, and ensuring the accuracy and legality of all content submitted.
eConsultants Ltd disclaims liability for any issues arising from AI generated content.
12. Platform Role and Liability
- eConsultants Ltd is a non transactional enabling platform.
- We do not facilitate, manage, or take commission on any projects or client interactions.
- All agreements and business dealings occur directly between consultants and their clients.
- We are not liable for any disputes, losses, damages, or claims arising from professional services or interactions.
13. All Care, No Responsibility
While eConsultants Ltd strives to maintain a reliable, accurate, and secure platform, we provide the Site and related services “as is” and make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of consultant profiles or any other content.
The information provided on this website is for general purposes only. We make no warranties or representations regarding its accuracy, completeness, or suitability. While we strive to provide accurate and reliable information, we make no warranties or representations regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of the content. Your use of the content on this website is your responsibility, and the use of the information is at your own risk.
Consultants and users acknowledge that all information is provided in good faith, but eConsultants Ltd accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss, damage, or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by the use of the site, including but not limited to reliance on consultant information, testimonials, or interactions.
eConsultants Ltd makes no representations and assumes no liability for the quality, accuracy, outcomes, or content of any services provided by consultants listed on the Site. Engagement with any consultant is entirely at the discretion and risk of the user.
eConsultants Ltd does not warrant that this Site and the services will be free of infection by viruses, worms, trojan horses or anything else containing destructive properties.
Users agree to use the site at their own risk and to perform their own due diligence when engaging consultants.
14. Insurance Disclaimer
Consultants are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining any necessary insurance (e.g., professional indemnity, public liability). eConsultants Ltd does not provide, endorse, or guarantee insurance coverage and disclaims liability for any claims related to insurance.
15. Privacy and Data Transfer
By using the Site, you consent to the cross border transfer and storage of your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
16. Acceptable Use
In posting or submitting material about your business on the Site, you warrant that:
i. All such material is not private and is intended for publication on the Site;
ii. You grant eConsultants the unrestricted right to use, reproduce, modify, translate and distribute any material you post or submit to the Site in any medium and for any purpose, including commercial uses;
iii. All such material is truthful and accurate to the best of your knowledge;
iv. You will not use obscene or offensive language or submit any material that is, or may potentially be, defamatory, abusive or hateful, an invasion of anyone’s privacy, harmful to other users, harmful to the business interests of consultants, or encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any local, national or international law or regulation.
17. Right to Suspend or Remove Accounts
eConsultants Ltd may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms & Conditions or compromise platform integrity.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from the use of the platform, including those involving Australian consultants, will be subject to New Zealand jurisdiction.
Consultants agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand for any disputes.
19. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify eConsultants and its employees, contractors, agents and representatives and to hold them harmless from any and all claims and liabilities (including fees) which may arise from your breach of these terms and conditions
To the maximum extent permitted by law, eConsultants total aggregate liability to you for a claim, action, proceeding, demand, cost, damage, loss or liability (Claim) in connection with the Site or these Terms & Conditions will not exceed the value of the Subscription you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the date on which the Claim arises.
20. Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises between you and eConsultants Ltd regarding these Terms or your use of the Site, you agree to first attempt to resolve the matter amicably by contacting us directly to discuss the issue.
If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, either party may pursue formal mediation or arbitration before initiating any court proceedings.
This dispute resolution process shall be conducted in New Zealand and under New Zealand law.
21. Communication Consent
By registering, you consent to receive service emails such as renewal notices and updates. You may opt out of non essential communications at any time.
22. Force Majeure
eConsultants Ltd shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, wars, terrorism, strikes, technical failures, or internet outages.
In such events, eConsultants Ltd may suspend or delay services without liability until the situation is resolved.
23. Assignment
We may legally assign any of our rights and obligations under this agreement at any time by giving you notice on the Site.
